"Tiger Lilies"

Media: Acrylic Paint on Canvas Paper

Artistic Vision
My vision was to draw a great picture of Tiger Lilies, I wanted to have a great painting to look at and create a painting that has a calming effect on the viewer. I wanted to be able to work with the color in a way where it wouldn't be to hard to mix the colors and get them right.

Techniques
I used a lot of color mixing techniques and brush stroke techniques in order to be able to paint the flower accurately and with great shading techniques as well. I used a monochrome color scheme for the Lily it self, i mixed a lot of pink and reds in order to make the colors that I did, but I also threw in a very cool blue background to make the flower stand out.

Georgia's Art Practice
My art is similar to Georgia's because my work is of a flower like many of Georgia's are, it is also a close up of a flower which is what she mainly did. She did close up paintings to make people focus on the smaller details of something without them even knowing that they are, to the viewer, Georgia's work looks like a bunch of colors but it is actually a flower that is just zoomed in on.

Torture
During the production of this piece there was a lot of torture and suffering that I went through because I didn't really like how the colors were turning out and how the shading was all weird and looked funny, so I really did frown upon my own work only because it was an unfinished piece of work, I doubted myself before I was even done, I just went with what I felt was going to work and I ended up with this piece of art.
