Idea
I have always found space scenes that have been edited in Photoshop with a landscape and I decided since we were doing landscapes to go and try to make my own. I feel like I did a good job, it looks fairly good, of course as the artist I can see the mistakes that others can't. I like it though.
Technique
I had the original image of a simple landscape and just cut out the sky and added in a stary background along with a planet. There is water on the bottom and I just duplicated the planet and stars so I could mess with the transparency and make them look as if they were reflections. I also gave the planet kinda of a glow from behind it.
